CATALOG DESCRIPTION

An introductory Photoshop course that emphasizes the technical aspects of digital post production workflow in photography.

 

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Outcome 1: Manage basic retouching such as isolating image areas, cropping, rotating, dodging and burning.

Outcome 2: Analyze and integrate color into an image using layers and color panels and tools such as paint bucket tool and blend tool.

Outcome 3: Experiment with special effects using techniques such as stretching, skewing, and distorting selections.

Outcome 4: Calculate resolution using basic image editing actions.

Outcome 5: Design a photographic image composite by combining images and type.
